You Do You

These words have guided me on my journey for as long as I can remember. I started dance when I was 3 years old. Growing up in Colorado Springs, CO., I was fortunate enough to work with some amazing dance instructors. While working on a hip hop routine, these words were given to me before they became a now commonplace expression. At the time, they resonated so much with me and I have followed that advice to this day. Be it dance, acting, or singing - I never stop putting myself into my work. My art is an expression of myself and I feel so lucky to be able to share this part of me. "You do you Alaina!" You can be certain that I will.
